Young Dalton races up a storm

Dalton Venter (13) from Brackenhurst won the Motosport South Africa (MSA) National motor cross 85cc junior title at the Smoking Pistons Raceway in Alberton on October 31.

DALTON Venter (13) is proving to be unstoppable and with his need for speed the youngster continues to make a name for himself in the motocross world.

This Brackenhurst resident won the Motosport South Africa (MSA) National motor cross 85cc junior title at the Smoking Pistons Raceway in Alberton on October 31.

Riding a KTM 85cc Dalton also won the World of Motorsport ZA (South Africa) WOMZA Sunoco Series and was awarded the WOMZA junior sportsman of the year title. The unstoppable Dalton also won the WOMZA and MSA regional titles.  To crown it all , he took first place at FIM (Federation International Motorcycle) African Motorcross Union (AMU) all African Championships in Zimbabwe thus giving him braging rights to being the best 85cc rider in Africa.

The passionate youngster started riding at the age of four and at five he was racing. He has two brothers, Jordan and Lucas who also race. He is very passionate about the sport  and he dreams of eventually racing in Europe or America.

Dalton will be competing in the 85cc junior category in 2016 and he has his eye firmly set on the championship title.
