Alberton club cricket round-up
The club cricket league season is in full swing, with the following results for the third weekend of October.
ALBERTON – Premier League: Alberton vs Pirates at Alberton Oval: Alberton made 111/10 and Pirates 115/2.
Alberton lost, with the best batsman Kevin Willemse taking 29 runs.
President League: Alberton vs Delfos at Delfos: Alberton made 284/9 and dismissed Delfos for 282/10, to win narrowly. Tiaan van Niekerk was the best batsman with 107 runs. He was also the best bowler with four wickets from nine overs.
Sunday two League: Alberton vs Jeppe at Jeppe: Alberton made 174/10 and Jeppe 177/3. The best batsman was Tony Crous with 54 runs.
The Premier League side was scheduled to play against Wanderers at the Alberton Oval in their following game. The results will follow in a next issue.
