SANSUI Summer Cup set to attract new generation

A day at the races in Johannesburg on a gorgeous summer’s day is always glamorous and fun.

RACE goers at the Gauteng SANSUI Summer Cup can expect gourmet pop-up food stalls, craft beer, stylish fashion, live musical entertainment from South Africa’s best performers and riveting racing action at the historic Turffontein Racecourse.

This prestigious equestrian and fashion affair is the City of Gold’s foremost horse race, with a legacy of entertaining the crowds and equine fans for over 128 years.

Gates for the SANSUI Summer Cup will open on Saturday, November 28, at 11:00.

Gourmet dishes from Jozi’s best food trucks, craft beer on tap, delicious wine and a host of summer cocktails will keep guests entertained before the official Sound Experience after-party with Mi Casa, Cassper Nyovest, Muzart and Goldfish kicks off at sunset.

Enjoying a prime location right next to the parade ring, race goers can admire the horses close up, speak to owners and trainers, and, for those who have never experienced a day at the races, race guides and betting assistants will be on hand to answer any questions.

The wide range of entertainment, together with the late November date, makes the Gauteng SANSUI Summer Cup perfect for any corporate looking for an alternative year-end function.

General access tickets start from R75 and are available from Computicket.
