Soweto ready for Carling League of Champions finals

Soweto will be the centre of attraction for all football lovers from this weekend.

Soweto will be the centre of attraction for all football lovers from this weekend, as the 2015 Carling League of Champions culminates at the NIKE Training Centre on Saturday July 11.

The fourth edition of the countrywide community football festival will see teams representing all nine provinces taking each other on in a quest to be crowned champions of the fourth edition of the Carling League of Champions. Carling Black Label has increased the stakes in this year’s tournament as the winners are set to receive R30 000 as well as an unforgettable trip to the 2015 Carling Black Label Cup on August 1 at the FNB Stadium.

Carling Black Label is also proud to announce an exciting edition to this year’s finals. Two of the biggest teams in Soweto, Zola All Stars and Khenza Football Club (KFC) will be the curtain raisers to the finals at 3pm. Both clubs boast a strong following from different parts of Soweto and are set to create an electrifying mood at the NIKE Training Centre.

Staying true to their identity of rewarding the efforts of ordinary men, six of the coaches that have reached the champions finals will automatically qualify for this years Coach the Coaches programme which is a coaching course organized by Carling Black Label and the South African Football Association.

The Champions Finals draw is set took place on Friday evening July 10 at the Champions Dinner where Kaizer Chiefs midfielder, Thabo Mooki and Orlando Pirates defender, Edward Motale will conduct the official draw of the finals.
