Nine bouts at Box ‘n Dine

The first of these events is at the perfect venue for the debutants being Turfontein Race Course.

BOX Office will stage a Box ‘n Dine on Wednesday, May 27, at the Turffontein Racecourse.

Nine exciting bouts will feature on the evening, with boxing starting at 19:00.

Boxers in action will be Rofhiwe Maemu who will take on Tumelo Pedi from Alan Toweel’s gym in a featherweight fight over 10 rounds.

Maemu has fought the likes of Adam de Moor, Paul Kamanga and Alan Bouwer, while Pedi has been active under the guidance of Toweel.

Clement Kamanga, who has a great amateur record, is up against a silver championship boxer from Stephens Gym called Sipho Xaba.

Boxers such as Siya Mabena, Arthur Hall, Dario Familiar and Brandon Naude, who have been built through local events, will showcase their talent on fight-night.

Dougie Holmes is well-matched against Siya Mabena and Grant Habib has put effort into Holmes to get him ready for the professional market.

Jade Karam, of the famous Karam family, who switched from provincial rugby to pro boxing, will be in action.

Luvo Ntlebi and Bheki Muhlangu, who joined Box Office from South Hills and Booysens amateur boxing clubs after turning professional, will have their baptism into professional greatness.
