Successful: A golfing day to remember
The golf day has been taking place for 20 years.
Frances Vorwerg has once again had a successful golf day, boasting a full field that support them.
The Rand Water/Frances Vorwerg Annual golf day was held on Thursday April 24 at Glenvista Country Club.
The golf day has been taking place for 20 years, and for most of those years Rand Water was their main sponsor.
“We mainly support Frances Vorwerg for two events, the golf day and the cycling event, which are fundraisers to help provide for the school in their daily needs,” said Rand Water Sponsorship Manager Kholofelo Skosana, “Due to the different needs at the school, our initial support goes to the children.
“We are also involved in these fundraisers on different levels, we help organise the event and some of us are even playing golf on the day. Rand Water make our budget balance, they don’t only contribute towards the school, but help us in various way. A word of thanks must go to them, and for us, it is a matter of a good partnership that we have,” said Principal Mr Louis van Wyk.
The next fundraiser will be the Rand Water Race for Victory in the latter part of the year.
