Football Club celebrates

During the middle of April, Alberton Football Club hosted their first Super League home game, and celebrated the club’s AFC’s 48 years of existence and proud tradition of amateur football within the Alberton community.

The Super League team is being coached this season by their new coach, Darren Bedworth, who has over 15 years of experience in local and amateur football throughout his soccer career. His noticeable achievements include winning the Super League in 2013.

When asked about his new role, the coach commented: “We have a new side that we are rebuilding. We have youngsters aged 16 and 17 years old so we are instilling new blood and a unique approach in how we compete in the Super League.”

The team has played three matches thus far, while winning their most recent match. The team and coach have high hopes for continuing their winning ways.
