Alberton demolishes Glenvista
Alberton Premier League cricket team has almost rewritten the record books, when they recorded one of their greatest Premier victories in years.
Alberton demolished Glenvista at the Alberton Oval, when the visitors from the South were bundled out for a devastating 23 runs for all ten wickets in the first innings, in reply to Alberton’s 280/9.
Ashley Martins top-scored with a sparkling century of 116 runs. Alberton dismissed Glenvista for a second time for 20 runs for the required five second innings wickets. Lazarus was the best Alberton bowler with six wickets from 10 overs.
Both the president and Sunday 2 league sides were victorious, to complete a clean sweep for the weekend.
