Donkey Derby in aid of young soccer players

The u.12 soccer team of The Sporting Mundialito will be hosting a Donkey Derby on Saturday, February 28 at Nucleo de Arte, corner Victoria and Wemmer Pan roads, Regents Park.

JOHANNESBURG SOUTH – These youngsters are raising funds for an international tour and need all the help they can get. Sporting Football club is a non-profit organization based in Turffontein Johannesburg. They pride themselves in developing children of all ages, not only in terms of building their soccer skills but assist in the development of their social and emotional needs.

Their under u.12A team is one of the teams that have been part of the club since under 6’s and were in Div1 in 2014. This team wishes to participate in the international Mundialito Youth tournament to be held end of March 2015 in Portugal.

Mundialito has become the greatest International tournament of youth football where more then 5000 players from all over the world attend each year. This tournament is the creation of a “true world cup’ for children who have a passion for soccer and the Sporting U12a team are striving to be a part of it. With your support we know this will be possible.

The cost is R180 per person, which includes a three-course meal and entertainment. So come along to a day at the races, wear your cowboy hat, jeans and boots, place your bets and just have fun.
