Rietvlei Driving Range opens

Wel known local professional golfer Grant Muller, who has been playing for the past 23 years on the Sunshine Tour, opened the much awaited Tin Cup Driving Range and Clubhouse at Rietvlei Zoo Farm on Saturday and Sunday November 15 and 16.

ALBERTON – This is a welcome addition to Alberton and the South’s ever-increasing sport facilities, and is situated in the tranquil area of the beautiful surroundings of the Rietvlei Dam and zoo farm area. The co-owners of this facility are Grant Muller, Hugo Botha, Vaughn Mcmullen and André Mosterd.

The driving range will be offering golf lessons for adults, children and school groups, golf memberships including daily rates and bucket rates, corporate team building sessions, birthday parties, fundraisers, social events, fun days and holiday camps. The facilities encompass a Golf Teaching Academy and corporate functions venue.

“We are thrilled to have the golf driving range and Grant Muller at Rietvlei Zoo Farm as it is the perfect environment and golf is a great way for the community to get involved with another outdoor sports activity,” said Toni Mackrell of Rietvlei Zoo Farm.

“I have always wanted to give back to the community and look forward to sharing my golf knowledge, experience and expertise with the community” said local pro golfer Grant Muller, who also lives in the prestigious Eye of Africa Golf Estate.

The grand opening of the Tin Cup Golf Driving Range and Clubhouse at Rietvlei attracted regular visitors, new golfers, professionals like the well known Tyrone Ferreira and even several youngsters like 10-year–old Sheldon Spear of Brackendowns and others of his age to the event.
