ALBERTON – The boxing secret of a fight between Johnny Muller and Kevin Lerena was finally confirmed at the announcement at Emperors Palace of the bill for the Emperors Top Guntournament on Saturday November 15. SA light-heavyweight champion Johnny Muller will meet Lerena, winner of the most recent Emperors box and dine main bout, over ten rounds in a cruiserweight contest.
The main bout on the Top Gun bill will be Tommy “The Gun” (Oosthuizen) himself in a welcome comeback against Denis Grachev. The latter was outboxed by Ryno Liebenberg two months ago at Emperors when Ryno emerged as winner of the WBC light heavyweight silver belt title fight on August 9.
Grachev, whose home town is San Diego, California in the USA, was born on August 3, 1982 and his record consists of 17 fights, 13 wins of which eight were knock-outs just after his Emperors defeat.
About his Lerena encounter, Johnny Muller said on the day of the announcement: “I feel so much more comfortable. I’m going to give Kevin a fight and I will win.”
