Perfect Stroke swimmers make a splash

Once again Perfect Stroke Swimmers posted great results at the Central Gauteng senior short course championship.

ONCE again Perfect Stroke Swimmers posted great results at the Central Gauteng senior short course championships, but Darielle Naubereit and Matthew Estment, who both attend Marist Brothers College in Linmeyer, were outstanding.

Darielle Naubereit posted a time of 2:29.22 in her 200m backstroke, which qualifies her to race at the South African Youth Nationals in April next year. Youth nationals is just one step away from Olympic trials in SA swimming.

Matthew Estment, who also swam in the 200m backstroke, posted a time of 2:26.63, which is a South African Level 3 qualifying time for that event. Level 3 is the highest level of age group swimming in the country.

Matthew is the seventh Perfect Stroke swimmer to qualify for South African Level 3 in the last four years.

Congratulations to these two swimmers on their superb achievements.
