Lions in run for semi-final berth at home

Xerox Golden Lions will hope to secure a home semi-finals berth when they taking on Cell C Sharks over the weekend.

The match will be played in the Shark tank and for visiting teams it is always a hard match, especially with the semi-final spots still wide open. But the local team from Johannesburg will want to record a win in order to stay in the running for semi-finals at Ellis Park.

Head coach Johan Ackermann has named his team to take on the Cell C Sharks in Durban on Friday evening.

In the forwards, Ackermann has opted to draft in Schalk van der Merwe and Robbie Coetzee in the front row. Willie Britz moves up from the bench at eighthman.

Meanwhile, in the backline, Marnitz Boshoff will start at flyhalf. Stokkies Hanekom returns to the starting line-up at inside centre.
