Action-packed Palace Storm boxing

The tournament will feature six bouts of high calibre boxing during the evening.

AN action-packed tournament featuring some of the hard hitting boxers on the circuit will be showcased at Palace Storm.

The Box ‘n Dine will take place on Monday September 29 at Emperors Palace, presented by African Ring in conjunction with Golden Gloves Promotions and Emperors Palace. Boxing will start at 19:00.

For starters out of the Hot Box gym will be the in-form Ashley Dlamini, who has been also named the King of Box ‘n Dines. He will be joined by former-IBO world champion, Malcolm Klassen.

But topping the bill for the WBC Youth Silver belt over ten rounds will be Southern favourite, Kevin Lerena. He will face Georgia’s Gogita Gorgiladze.

The tournament will feature six bouts of high calibre boxing during the evening.

Lerena has returned to Emperors Palace after a fine victory in his previous appearance and is under the watchfull eye of the Smith camp.

He is an unbeaten cruiserweight at 22 and will be taking on Gorgiladze, a veteran of 25 fights

“There’s no need to rush him at all,” said trainer Sean Smith, adding that frequent sparring sessions with world-rated Isaac Chilemba, and Thabiso Mchunu see Lerena more than holding his own.
