Domestic Transfer window to close Friday

PSL transfer window to close.

Premier Soccer League (PSL) has confirmed that the domestic July-August transfer window will close on Friday afternoon, August 29 at 17:00. This is in terms of the NSL Rules.

PSL General Manager of Football Derek Blanckensee said the League has been working around the clock to ensure that all registrations are completed in time.

“Our office has been very busy in the last couple of weeks, registering players ahead of the start of the ABSA Premiership and now the National First Division seasons. We are used to this kind of pressure and the large volume of registration applications that we receive during this period. We have an excellent computer system – the CRM system – and dedicated and experienced staff that ensure the smooth running of this process,” Blanckensee said.

“However, we are expecting next week Friday to be a very busy day for us,” he added.

Players who are out of contract when the window closes (free agents) and amateurs can still be registered after the window has closed.

The next transfer window will be in January 2015.
