Karateka to represent SA at Zone 6

Tania dos Santos, a dedicated karateka from Sensei Sandra Louw, was selected by Karate South Africa to represent the country at Zone 6.

Tania dos Santos, a dedicated karateka from Sensei Sandra Louw, was selected by Karate South Africa to represent the country in the recent Zone 6 Confederation Sub-Saharan All Styles Karate Championships in Zambia, Lusaka.

Dos Santos competed in the Women senior kata division, where she won a silver medal for the country. Along with that, she was awarded her Protea colours by SA Olympic Commitee (SASCOC), which is her biggest and most honourable achievement from this whole event.

She has been training karate since the young age of five and her hunger at 31 years of age has only grown more and more throughout all these years.

She is a proud student of Sensei Sandra Louw, whose title of being the only South African WKF (World Karate Federation) All Styles champion still standing since 1994.

Dos Santos’s biggest dream is to follow in her Sensei’s footsteps and win this title for herself and South Africa.

In the meantime, all the hard work and training will continue until given another opportunity to proudly represent the country again.

Sandra Louw Karate would like to congratulate her on such a prestigious achievement and for being a huge role model to all the younger karatekas.
