Africa’s Richest Race Day promises to thrill

It is all systems go at Turffontein Racecourse as organisers prepare for a whopper final leg of the SASCOC Triple Crown and the ever popular Intercontinental Village this Saturday.

The running of the much anticipated R1.5 million SA Derby (which the public’s hero ‘Louis the King’ will be fighting for in order to complete his Triple Crown ambition) as well as the third leg of the Triple Tiara racing series, the WilgerbosdriftSA Oaks will have the expected 15 000 strong crowd on their feet.

It’s a huge day of racing and one that generates capacity crowds every year with more than R7 million in prize money up for grabs this year,  the Presidents Champions Challenge alone worth a staggering R2 million.

SASCOC has once again shown their support for the Raceday as naming rights partner to the Triple Crown whilst, Wilgerbosdrift Stud, continues their generous sponsorship of  the entire Triple Tiara series.

Stud owner Mary Slack says she’s excited about the partnership.
