Cricket Umpire’s Course for all

An entry level Cricket Umpire's Course will be held at Alberview Primary School in May 2014.

ALBERTON – Lectures will start at 18:30 and end at 20:30. The lecture dates will be May 5, 6, 12, 13 and 14 with the exam scheduled for May 19. The course is run by the Gauteng Cricket Umpires Association (GCUA). A second entry level course in the area is also being planned. The latter will be presented around October 2014.

The main objective of these courses is to produce new umpires. It is also the perfect opportunity for schools to get teachers who are involved in cricket to be qualified as umpires.

However, if you have a child or family member who asks uncomfortable questions regarding cricket or whether you are just a keen armchair enthusiast, this course is exactly what you need.

On successful completion of the course you will receive an official entry level certificate that is issued by the GCUA. This certificate is valid nationally.
