Busy campaign for threesome

Following a successful campaign last year, boxing’s three popular fighters, Johnny Muller, Hekkie Budler and Ryno Liebenberg, are back to entertain the Emperors Palace crowds with their awesome performances.

ALBERTON – Saturday February 15 will see the start of their campaigns this year, when they will feature at Emperors Palace opening “African Explosion” tournament.

The main bout on the bill will be Hekkie Budler’s defence of his newly-acquired WBA minimum weight title. Both his WBA and IBO crowns will be at stake against Karluis Diaz from Columbia. Hekkie acquired the WBA title due to the fact that champion Ryo Miyazaki vacated the WBA belt as a result of weight problems. Diaz’s record reads 21 wins in 25 fights.

Unbeaten Ryno Liebenberg’s 15th professional fight will be for the WBC International title against Joey Vegas in the light heavyweight division.

Another crowd favourite, the popular Johnny Muller, who is the South African light heavyweight champion, will fight for the WBC silver international title against the experienced Wilbeforce Shihepo, who won 21 of his 28 bouts.

Another attraction on the bill is Adam de Moor against Botswana’s Moses Kamera. Other confirmed fights on the undercard are: Undefeated Ricardo Hiraman versus Phumudzo Monayi and Thabang Ramagole versus Edward Disolwane.
