TKO semi-finals action

TKO semi-finals action at the FNB Stadium this evening.

JOHANNESBURG – Two of the South Premier Soccer League clubs will be in action in the TKO semi-finals.

Both Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates will be contesting for a place in the finals fo this year’s 2013 Telkom Knockout tournament.
Orlando Pirates will face the fierce attack of SuperSport United while Kaizer Chiefs will play Platinum Stars.

Pirates will play away at the Luca Moripe Stadium at 15:00 and Chiefs will take on Stars at FNB Stadium at 20:15.

SuperSport United mentor Cavin Johnson says that if Matsatsantsa are to stand any chance of beating Orlando Pirates today in the Telkom Knockout semi-final, they need to be at their best.

Johnson is justifiably proud that a few of his players were on international duty during the break.
But he is also desperate to get back to domestic action, and the chance to carry on where the trendy boys left off in their previous home game, when a scintillating second half performance effectively sealed three points against Golden Arrows.

And he will send his charges running out on Saturday afternoon with the warning ringing in their ears that they must repeat that.
The former Platinum Stars coach knows that his charges cannot afford to relent against a strong Bucs side which has surprised the nation with their confident run in the African competition. “What we saw against Pirates in our last cup game was something we need to learn from and we will get the chance again when we meet on Saturday. But playing at home is a completely different type of game and we should have the ascendancy.” said Johnson at the Press Conference at the PSL Offices on Thursday November 21.

Meanwhile Kaizer Chiefs are prepareing to take on Platimun Stars and accorindg to Head coach Stuart Baxter it will be no walk in the park. “We have to on top of our game and need to focus on what we can do well.
The team practise on Wednesday November 20 at Kaizer Chiefs Village has set the pace for their encounter.
