LETTER: Brackenhurst resident concerned about Jackson Dam
The Alberton Record has received a complaint about the flowing sewage near the Jackson Dam. The Alberton Record has sent a query to the City of Ekurhuleni for a comment.
For the past month, I have noticed large amounts of raw sewage flowing into Jackson Dam by the inlet. The stench is unbearable. There are faeces and toilet paper everywhere.
There are usually loads of families that enjoy their time in the Jackson Dam over weekends. This is a serious health concern not only for the people but for the precious wildlife that use these waterways.
