WATCH: ‘Remember the abundance in your life,’ Miss SA 2019

"For us to overcome the anxiety and fear that we are all experiencing, we need to recognise the abundance in other areas of our lives," Sasha-Lee Olivier, Miss SA 2019.

Alberton’s own Sasha-Lee Olivier, Miss SA 2019, reached out to the RECORD to deliver a message to our readers during lockdown.

She sent her message of hope for better things to come and we gladly share it with our readers:

We are living through a time of great uncertainty – with our most pressing fear being the economic implications of the lockdown necessitated by the rapid spread of the highly infectious coronavirus.

Still, I believe that for us to overcome the anxiety and fear that we are all experiencing, we need to recognise the abundance in other areas of our lives.

What if this is just 21 days to a better South Africa?

A South Africa where compassion and kindness are key.

A South Africa where people matter more than money.

A South Africa where the strong care for the vulnerable.

A South Africa where equality means equitable sharing.

A South Africa where people value what is truly important.

Do your part, residents of Alberton, as part of South Africa.

Work hand in hand with the government to fight the spread of Covid-19.

Wash your hands. Don’t touch your face.
