I am a mother of four daughters aged nine, 13 (disabled), 17 and 19 and I am struggling to make ends meet.
It is really hard to keep all five of us afloat. My husband and I are divorced and he is not contributing to the lives of his children. We were evicted from the house and we are now renting a room.
With the stipend, I get from where I work and a Sassa grant, I only manage to pay rent where we live. I struggle to buy food, clothes, sanitary towels, stationery, and other essentials. Every day is a challenge, I always pray for a better day.
All I want is for him (the children’s father) to take responsibility or if there is someone out there who can help my children. I’m desperate, I’m prepared to work elsewhere if I am offered a better job to support us.
