Illegal workshop operating with impunity

Instead of working from the premises, it is now done in the street.

There is an illegal motor workshop on Francis Road, Florentia, and aside from being an eyesore, it is also just further proof how corrupt our officials are.

After a lot of pressure being applied by our local ward councillor, things started going better, but now they’re back with a vengeance.

It is the same operator and I will not tolerate it.

ANOTHER ONE: Another car parked in the street for service/repair.

The petition set up to get rid of these illegal activities is of no importance as there is already a court order.

Instead of working from the premises, it is now done in the street.

The Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department (EMPD) is very suspect in this regard and should be reported and investigated for corruption because they are clearly not doing their jobs and must be taking a cut of the earnings as these criminals are allowed complete freedom to do as they please.

Upset, law-abiding citizen

The RECORD has contacted the EMPD for comment, but have not received any feedback from them.
