Serious damage has been done to the water pipes and there has been significant water loss at Alma Steyl Place in Meyersdal.
According to my knowledge, it is for the installation of Seacom cables. The supervisor was rude and arrogant when confronted.
I find it unacceptable that, during a drought, a company can be so careless as to damage water pipes the way they did.

The RECORD approached the EMM for comment and on August 22, Alderman Bruna Haipel responded that she had also reported the issue to the EMM. However, they have not responded to her or the RECORD in time for publishing.
