Racist motorist ruined my day

"I can’t believe that people still refer to black people as the k-word."

On June 18, around 5pm, I was leaving my friend and sister’s house. As I started reversing out of the driveway, a white Honda Ballade came from the corner of the street, driving very fast. I reversed in such a way that he could easily pass, but instead he stopped.

In my mind, I thought he was giving me right of way. I then continued to reverse and drive, but he drove straight to me and looked really angry – that’s when he called me the very racist k-word, telling me I couldn’t drive. I followed him to take his registration number, but I was scared to overtake him.

I can’t believe that people still refer to black people as the k-word. I was so shocked.
