Municipality leaves residents in the dark

Surely, this is an unacceptable level of shoddy service a rate payer should receive at the hands of a Metro facility

It is rather disappointing that despite several requests for a broken street light to be fixed, it is still broken.

This light has been out since April 11 and I have reported it several times now. Our house is situated not far from a servitude area and it is really dark at night.

Calling/phoning them is also so frustrating, as they never pick up their phones. Whenever you visit their offices, they always make empty promises.

Surely this shoddy service delivered by the Ekurhuleni municipality is unacceptable. You (the Alberton RECORD) are my only other hope to get them to do their job.

Unhappy

“The damaged street light control gear was replaced on Tuesday, June 6,” says EMM spokesperson Themba Gadebe.
