Give me a chance to set things right

Do not be fooled into thinking it is harmless, it is where most addictions start.

I would like to apologise to the community of Eden Park for all my wrong doings in the past, while I was on drugs, and pray that they will forgive me.

I am grateful to God who saved me and gave me a second chance in life, as well as New Life Recovery Centre who believed in me and stood by me throughout this time.

A special thank you to Gary for all his efforts to get me into Freedom Recovery Centre and Pastor Derrick and his awesome staff for all the great work they are doing there.

I didn’t finish school due to the drugs, but I am willing to learn. I have done a short course on CO2 and Arc welding at Ekurhuleni and would like the opportunity to improve myself.

I realise, now that I am sober-minded, that many young kids are looking up to me as their role model and I don’t want to disappoint them. I would also like to encourage them to break the cycle and not to follow the “norm” of smoking dagga. Do not be fooled into thinking it is harmless, it is where most addictions start.

I urge users of any addictive substance to come forward and join us at the centre if you are serious about breaking your addiction.

Through God anything is possible. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
