Thanks to Waterstone College learners

Last week we went to Reuven Senior Complex in West Turffontein to donate some new beds for the seniors.

As we were organising the beds, we heard singing coming from the hall – such a beautiful sound – and realised it was young learners from Waterstone College.

The seniors were very happy with the get together and the singing. One of the residents, George Visser, had tears in his eyes when he read a note the children wrote to the home and was very emotional that someone who doesn’t even know them could care for them.

This is the time of the year when so many seniors feel lonely with no one to spend Christmas with. This year will be hard for many as pensions are very low and prices are high!

We will be serving the Reuven Senior Complex a delicious Christmas lunch on December 24, with all the bells and whistles.

I wish every resident in the South of Johannesburg and surrounding areas a blessed and beautiful festive season. Think of a person in need and reach out a helping hand to assist them.
