ALBERTON- In response to Melissa Antonie’s letter (Compassionate service wanted from funeral parlour, RECORD, September 16) I would like to share my experience with readers concerning the service that I received from AVBOB.
After the passing of my wife, AVBOB was the only stop for me.
Lourentia Bosman, the branch manager at AVBOB Alberton, is a wonderful and compassionate lady and I found her integrity unquestionable.
Lourentia even arranged to fetch my wife’s body, picked up her death certificate and contacted Metropolitan Life to pay the proceeds of my funereal policy directly into AVBOB’s bank account.
She also arranged the flowers and I thought it was such a special gesture to have my late wife’s photo printed on the tissue packs when we went to pick out the coffin.
Lourentia mentioned to us that this is always a sad moment, but that she will support and give us all the advice we needed.
The rest of the funeral proceedings that followed at the church and the grave site was carried out in the utmost professional way and forever thankful I will stay.
