ALBERTON – At midday, I was held up at gunpoint at the entrance to my townhouse, by the occupants of a black BMW sedan.
They tried to gain entry to my unit, but, fortunately, by shouting to my wife who was inside, I was able to alert her that a robbery was in progress. On hearing me shout “Hijack, you know what to do!!”, the thugs fled, leaving us unscathed.
My wife dialled 10111, which was answered immediately, and within 25 minutes three police cars arrived, as well as three Fox Security vehicles and representatives from our local CPF.
Because keys and remotes had been stolen, Fox Security offered to place a guard at the complex for the night, even though I am not a client of theirs, and they offered to increase their surveillance in the area for the next few days.
