Since when did anyone dumping illegally give a hoot about what day they do it? I’ve seen no evidence of any clean-up supposedly funded by the R5.70 which was also attributed to illegal dumping. It seems to me that so long as there are explanations being given, the council assumes we’ll fall for the story of the day… Give me a break!

I don’t think it is working as our day is supposed to be Tuesday, but since the holiday on April 21 they have been coming on a Wednesday. Now we have had two public holidays it will be interesting to see when they come this week!

Me too, this is now the third week that refuse was not collected on the advertised new day. Keep explaining.

Same story here. I’m also waiting to see when they will collect since we’ve had so many public holidays now. They need to stick to their calendar. Then again, I didn’t expect it to work anyway!

Why print a calendar if refuse isn’t collected on the specified date? Our collection day is a Thursday…or a Friday…or a Saturday! Pathetic!

The municipality is in such a shambles. Hardly anyone had their dustbins out in Brackenhurst on the public holiday… Also, what happened with our monthly “cleansing levy” totaling R4 million per month! What exact “cleaning” was it spent on, before it was stopped? Cleaning the gravy train? What a farce.

Well guess what, they never collected on Friday. They did not provide the service as promised. We’re paying extra for environmental clean-ups anyway. Which idiot at the counsel is the paper talking to? Sure, if you look deeper there is so much corruption and the R5 is going into someone’s pocket. The park in Gappies is hardly ever cleaned. The R5 was stopped but is back.

The service is pathetic. The last time I had a fixed calendar was in 2013. Now I have to figure out when they will be cleaning the dustbins, this can be any day from a Wednesday up to a Sunday… and to top it off, is the garbage collectors, they are a menace and an irritation to me.
