This is pre-election drivel

Alberton, before it became part of Ekurhuleni, was a clean, proud town, now a dump

I refer to your front page of March 26, 2014: I find the Alberton RECORD to have good journalism and articles for our immediate town. However, since election time is upon us, can the drivel that blasts off the front page, not be reported as it is just a ploy for elections.

I, among thousands, I ’m sure, will not believe that mumbo jumbo.

Alberton, before it became part of Ekurhuleni, was a clean, proud town, now a dump! I am in Mayberry Park and for the past four months the road going out towards Potgieter Street has been dug up, left alone for weeks, half filled. A sorry excuse was made to repair it late January, early February and is still in a shocking state.

It has even been reported by yourselves, the ward councillor was to follow up, and still nothing. Not to mention 32 potholes in 300 metres in the road I live in.

Allan, Mayberry Park
