Ladies beware of smash and grab hotspot

I wish to warn motorists, especially ladies, of a smash and grab hot spot.

Travelling towards Randhart at the traffic light just before the R59 bridge, where the onramp is towards the Pretoria, Johannesburg and Glen Highways.

On Saturday June 29 my window was smashed and my bag taken. I do believe that 10 minutes later another lady was also targeted with a smash and grab.

Numerous people have been hit at the same spot. It is very dark and they hide in the ditch waiting for oncoming cars to stop at the traffic light.

It amazes me that we do not have a light in this spot or that it is not patrolled by the traffic department or SAPS, as various incident have taken place in this area.

It has also been pointed out to me that the beggars at the previous traffic light by KFC warn the guys by cellphone as to what people have in their cars.
