What a treat this past week with electricity. Sounds crazy, but it made such a difference and let’s pray going forward we won’t have to experience frequent load-shedding again. Ummm, I know, I’m also not convinced, but we can at least hope.
Three months gone of 2019 and here we are in April. Unbelievable, honestly. This month we have Easter and all the things it brings, including holidays, time spent with family and friends, church services, Easter eggs, hot cross buns and other delicious treats.
Egg for egg
Shop wisely when you are buying Easter eggs, especially the boxes of marshmallow eggs, as prices vary. Beacon Marshmallow Eggs (24) R50.99 or (48) R69.99 at Pick n Pay. Checkers has the same eggs (48) for R69.99 and Makro for R74.95.
All three stores are selling lots of other Easter treats, as well as Spar. Buy now, especially if you want to get the best prices. Just make sure to hide them away.
Grandiflora inspiration
Visit Grandiflora and get some table decoration ideas as well as some gorgeous Easter gifts. You’ll find silk cherry blossoms, straw rabbits (all sizes), fluffy sheep, Easter baskets and lots more. Or buy that special someone a beautiful bunch of flowers (tulips and daffodils are available at this time of the year) or a flowering potted plant.
Bake a cake
Cake always goes down well at Easter and for the kiddies a rainbow cake decorated with mini chocolate eggs will be perfect. Woolworths has an Easy to Bake Pastel Rainbow Layered Cake Mix (1.28kg) for R119.99.
Their Easy to Bake Pastel Rainbow Layered Cake Mix is made up of soft sponge layers with pastel shades of colour conveniently portioned into pre-coloured mixes.
