I was deeply touched to receive an award of recognition for being a strong woman in The Strong Women of the South awards, which was held on August 30, at Turn ’n Tender restaurant in Bassonia. What an honour and I feel very privileged to have this award sitting on my desk at the office. Some days I feel I could take on the world and whatever it throws my way, while other days I don’t feel confident or strong. Thank you to Mondeor SAPS for including me. I’ll try and make you proud as I work within the community.
A little bit of glitz
Queenspark has some really sparkly costume jewellery which will definitely make you feel glamorous. Earring sets (three pairs) from R99, gorgeous bracelets from R99 and necklace and earring/ bracelet sets from R110. Very classy and I doubt anyone could tell the difference from the “real” thing!
They also have beautiful summery scarves which will enhance anything you choose to wear in soft pastel colours. Very pretty.
Looking wow can cost less
Contempo has some lovely new summer lines coming in-store. And, the prices are just right! Flowy blouses from R199 and dresses from R230, perfect for the office. Casual wear, choose from tunic tops from R260 which will look great with a soft denim trouser and tee tops from R199. They also sell shoes and sandals/ flip flops, as well as handbags and accessories.
Smarter snacking
Clicks have a range of foods and drinks, which is healthier and ideal for the banter, Smartbite foods! They also stock almond flour and coconut flour, almond butter (like peanut butter but better), Muffin Premix, Premix Seed and Almond Loaf, Berry Granola, Nutty Granola and lots more. I bought a packet of Tortilla Chips, sweet chilli flavour for R15.95. Delish.
Looking for a reliable handyman
As a woman I know I’m pretty useless with odd jobs around the house, although I’m a great cook and bottle washer!
