This week I actually managed to have a quick look around the shops and fell in love with the new Sevilla porcelain dinner service range, at Woolworths.
I’ve always had a soft spot for blue and white crockery. In fact I love all things blue and white, from soft furnishings to duvet covers, clothing to shoes, even in the garden I tend to choose blue flowers, adding pink and white to give it a wow factor.
The Sevilla range will assist you in creating an ornate dining setting. Begin by laying a crisp white tablecloth on your dining table, set with the gorgeous plates and bowls, cutlery and plain blue serviettes. Complete the look by adding a small vase of flowers as your centre piece. Choose pale pink, lemon or cream flowers (roses will look gorgeous) and add some greenery. Finish with candles with the same colour theme and I’m sure your guests will feel extra special as they sit down to relax and enjoy a delicious lunch or dinner.

Love is in the air
Valentine’s Day falls on a Tuesday this year and if you are planning a special evening for you and your loved one, make sure to contact your favourite restaurant now and book. I was chatting to a friend of mine last week, who owns a restaurant, and he says every year there’s at least one couple who arrive and ask for a table for two, only to be told the restaurant is full. He told me the guys are usually the ones begging for a table – while their dates look on sadly! Don’t let this be you this year.
We have so many great restaurants to choose from, whether you like fish or meat, pizza and pasta or sushi, there’s quite literally a restaurant for everyone.
