Well, at least all that howling wind brought some rain, not much but enough to dampen down the dust.
So spring has finally arrived and with only 12 weeks to Christmas, we’ll soon be on the countdown. I haven’t seen any Christmas stock yet but a colleague of mine said she spotted some Christmas tree decorations at Checkers Hyper Newmarket, in Alberton. So it won’t be long before the shops are inundated with everything Christmassy! It’s my favourite time of the year, so I’ll be enjoying shopping even more than normal.

Woolworths has a couple of new mueslis, Golden Baked Cranberry and Coconut Inspired Muesli with toasted coconut and cranberries and Golden Baked Apple Strudel with apple pieces and hints of clove, as well as Golden Baked Banana Bread Inspired Muesli with banana pieces and hints of cinnamon, all three are 750g at R42.95. Yummy!

@Home Living (The Glen Shopping Centre and Mall of the South) has some gorgeous hand washes, body butters and hand lotions. I treated myself to the Saffron Rose hand wash and hand lotion and apart from the beautiful packaging it smells heavenly. It’s evocatively fragranced with Heirloom Rose, balanced by warm spicy notes of precious saffron combined to create this delicious fragrance. It was R189 for both in a caddy, which looks beautiful on the sink. It will make a delightful birthday or Christmas gift for mom or granny.
