The Bag Lady

What's The Bag Lady been up to?

I’ve spotted the first sign Christmas is on its way! Woolworths already has its Christmas chocolate balls, Father Christmas chocolate lollipops and those beautifully decorated tins of chocolates and biscuits, they are famous for.

I’m sure within the next couple of weeks more and more Christmas stock will be hitting the shops.

Mall of the South

Yes, the opening is this week (Thursday September 24), very convenient because it’s a Public Holiday!  I can tell you the mall is going to be absolutely fabulous.  I had another peek last week and it is all coming together beautifully.

Preheat over to 180c. Slice croissants in half, butter one side and spread with the jam. Arrange in a greased baking dish. Whisk together the eggs, vanilla extract, milk and lemon zest, then pour over the croissant slices and top with the berries. Bake for 30 minutes, then serve warm.

Bouquets of the Week

Pam from Rosettenville gives a huge bouquet to Grant Chamier from Southern Plumbing. “The efficiency and superb service I received from him and his company was second to none. He and his staff always go the extra mile and their work is of the highest quality. Thanks you.”

Kim Chalmers gives a massive bunch to Figure 8 Salon, situated at 5 van Heerden Road, Alberton (011 908 2522). “Nicolette Graddon and her hairdresser Twainette assisted us on Saturday September 12. Evie, Eleanor and Amber Bester were to attend the wedding of their son (Evie) and brother (Eleanor and Amber). They had all three booked an appointment to have their hair done at 10:00 that morning.  At approximately 06:30 that morning, they received a call from their hairdresser informing them that she was ill and would not be able to assist with their hair.  Naturally they were all frantic as most hairdressers are fully booked on Saturdays. Nicolette Graddon (owner of Figure 8 Salon) very kindly agreed to assist and squeezed the three ladies in, notwithstanding the fact that her hairdresser, Twainette, was also fully booked. The service was exceptional and all hands were on board to assist. The ladies attended the wedding looking absolutely amazing.  A very big thank you to Figure 8 Salon for saving the day and helping in our time of need.”

That’s it for this week. Shop till you drop!
