Last week I saw two incidents where moms had put their young child in a shopping trolley and not in the allocated seat at the front, and both times the trolley had tipped over and the child had been hurt. Not badly, but enough to make them scream the shop down and quite frankly they could have been hurt seriously if they had banged or cut their heads. They could even have suffered a broken arm or leg.
It particularly says on the handle of trolleys (Woolworths), and that is where I saw the trolley tip both times, Important Notice – Please ensure that your child sits in the seat only. It is dangerous to stand or sit in the trolley basket.
I mentioned this to one of the mom’s as she was picking her screaming child up off the floor and trying to right the trolley, and obviously she wasn’t very pleased with me. I obviously showed my concern for the little girl, who fortunately was only shook up. I remember my own children being small and sometimes wanting to stand in the trolley and I sympathise with mom’s who have two or more young children and have to shop. But remember, if they are stood or sat in the basket of the trolley, and it tips and they are hurt, you can’t blame the trolley or the store.
Floral fantasies
Flowers are back again this year, whether on dresses, cushions or linen. Some are a bit too bright for me but the pastel colours look lovely. Denim forever
I doubt denim will ever not be fashionable and this season sees light, dark and in between denim shades. Choose from jeans, skirts, blouses, tops, shoes and handbags.
Retro makes a comeback
I remember the retro look in the 70’s and it’s all coming back! See prints in Woolworths and Edgars, they won’t be for everyone but have a look anyway.
