The Bag Lady

What's The Bag Lady been up to this week?

Five days in Cape Town and I was a new person! One day back and I was that same “old” me! Isn’t it amazing just how differently you feel when you are on holiday, especially by the seaside. Every morning I was out early walking along the beach and it did my soul so much good. I was actually relaxed for the first time in ages.

As the saying goes though all good things must come to an end and as my plane flew into OR Tambo I was already beginning to stress about the week ahead and all I had to do.

Floral time

The shops seem to be full of all things floral, clothing, duvet covers, towels, cushions and lamp shades. There are even body lotions and hand creams, as well as perfumes with floral notes.  Definitely a mood enhancer! Treat yourself and see how it can lift your mood.

Mix it up

Marjorie Lattimer says, “In response to your article on someone looking for a particular mixing bowl, I also was looking for the same one or similar. A while ago I saw a modern version in Boardmans, pale blue with white interior, stupidly I did not buy it, and when I went back it was gone. It was made by Tala in the UK. I phoned their head office, no luck there, phoned each branch, still no luck. I saw a very good substitute at Home etc, situated on the top level at The Glen Shopping Centre , it is big, white and cost R200. I received it as a gift for Christmas. My family never know what to buy me as I have everything I need and more, so this was a perfect gift!”

Bouquet of the Week

Glynis and George MacPherson would like to give a bouquet to Emilio’s Bistro in Penzance Street, Randhart. “With Emilio’s help we managed to host our 40th wedding anniversary there.  He opened his business especially for us on Sunday January 4 and served one amazing breakfast to our 70 odd guests.  It was a huge success and our guests cannot stop complimenting the food and the fine hospitality they received.  We would like to give Emilio and his staff a huge and very special thank you for making our day even more special than it was by their friendliness, willingness to help and the amazing food.  A job well-done ladies and gents!  We definitely will be back and can recommend Emilio’s to everyone looking for a good place to eat, relax and enjoy.”

That’s it for this week. Shop till you drop.
