The Bag Lady

Did you manage to survive the festive season with all the shopping, wrapping, cooking and entertaining?

We all tend to put too much on the commercial side of Christmas and forget the real reason for celebrating. This year I didn’t go quite as mad as I usually do and curbed my spending on the food side. Not that we didn’t have all the delicious Christmas goodies, including roast turkey, gammon and all the trimmings as well as Christmas mince pies, cake and desserts but I didn’t buy as though the shops would never open again!

Interesting meetings at the garden club.

I predict it’s going to be a tough year financially for many of us, so shop wisely and look out for bargains. I never buy washing powder or liquid at the normal price, nor toilet paper. Get into the habit of stocking up when shops have their specials.  Definitely invest in candle holders and candles as well as torches and solar lights. If Eskom is true to form we’ll have to endure more load shedding, possible even total black outs.

I don’t like to say it….. but I will anyway! Now is the time to buy your Christmas gift wrap and cards for next year.  Bargains galore await you!

I wish you all a brilliant 2015, with good health, lots of love and happy times.

Oh, and shop till you drop!

Julie
