The Bag Lady

Layering is the answer but by this time of the year I’m all layered out and I’m dying to wear one item of clothing. Think of all the extra time we’ll have in a morning when getting dressed!  Hopefully after this cold front, spring will be here in all its glory.

Some trees already have pink blossoms and weeping willow trees are getting their new bright green leaves. It’s such a beautiful feeling to know summer is just around the corner.

Make a date

I’ve spotted the first 2015 calendars at PNA. They have a lovely selection from R89.99. For those of you who have family living overseas, think about buying one now while you have a good choice, to send as a Christmas gift.

I love to receive my yearly calendar from my mum and dad in England. I hang it in our kitchen and as well as being a daily reminder of them I can enjoy the British scenery all year round.

Great birthday gift idea

Buying a birthday gift for a friend or family member, female or male, can be tiresome if you have no idea what they like.  What could be easier than a magazine subscription! I’m lucky enough to have two magazine subscriptions each month, Taste which was a gift from my daughter and Woman and Home, from a friend.

This is a gift which lasts a year and every month I look forward to my two copies arriving in the post. For Christmas I’ve asked my husband for a Garden and Home subscription as I often buy the mag. There are lots of magazines out there and for men too, including Getaway, motoring mags, etc. For those who don’t have ideas or enjoy shopping, this is the perfect gift as you can do it online, saving time and trouble.
