Gungubele and Mazibuko on a march against drugs

Executive Mayor of Ekurhuleni Mondli Gungubele and Gauteng MEC for Social Development Faith Mazibuko will lead a march against in Daveyton.

DAVEYTON – In a city with a large population of young people like Ekurhuleni, and is not spared from the increasing scourge of drug abuse ravaging the lives of the youth, the City of Ekurhuleni in partnership with the provincial government will pull all stops to fight drug and substance abuse in the region.

Following the recent successful drug awareness march in Kwa-Thema, the Executive Mayor, Cllr Mondli Gungubele and Gauteng MEC for Social Development Faith Mazibuko will lead another mega march in Daveyton.

The duo is expected to invite parents who are troubled by addicted children to guide them into avenues of help.

Help will also be at hand for young people currently abusing drugs to begin the journey of change self-actualization.

Over 2000 community members are expected to take part in the march as well as in the dialogue at Sinaba stadium in Daveyton.

The event will take place at Sinaba Stadium in Daveyton on Saturday June 21 at 09:00.
