Celebrating Valentine’s Day

The day of friendship and love is celebrated around the world.

On February 14, Junior Colleges Castillian celebrated Valentine’s Day with the rest of the world. A love-filled day of treats and fun was planned for the students at Castillian.

To start the day off some delicious Valentine’s treats were sold for the students and parents to enjoy; in the words of Charles M. Schulz; “All you need is love. But a little chocolate now and then doesn’t hurt”.

Castillian put together a super fun Valentine’s parade, including a modeling show for students to strut their stuff and show off their best red, white, and pink-themed outfits to win some prizes.

This was a great way to boost their confidence and encourage them to show off their personality. That wasn’t all; they then had the chance to show off their best moves at the disco dance floor, after getting a little makeover at the face painting station.

To end the festivities each class enjoyed a friendly picnic, where the students got to share their treats with all their friends.

“Needless to say, the day was filled with fun, friendship, and love. What a fantastic way to celebrate Valentine’s Day,” said Samantha Barnard, principal.
