In preparation for the festive season, the Mall at Newmarket collaborated with SAPS, the CPF and various security companies to host a crime awareness day.
The event aimed to educate the community on the latest crime trends and provide essential safety tips to prevent hijackings and house and business robberies ahead of the festive season.
Held in the Builders Warehouse parking area, the event featured gazebos from Fox Security, AfriForum, the Special Ops, Community Protection Services, the SOG, Spot Watch Security, the SAPS, the CPF, and more.
They distributed informative pamphlets to attendees, sharing insights on crime prevention.
It was a fun-filled day, with children enjoying free rides in a Nyala van and exploring fire engines. The day was a valuable platform for the community to unite and prioritise safety.
