Carols by candlelight with Hospice

Stepping Stone Hospice & Care Centre will switch on its Tree of Light on November 1 at 17:30.

For this event, you can purchase a light bulb with a personal message to a loved one on the hospice’s website throughout December and the lights will be switched on throughout December, weather permitting.

Join them at 15 Heidelberg Road, New Market Park and be part of this wonderful evening.

The Alberton Men’s and Women’s choirs are involved with this year’s Carols by Candlelight at Stepping Stone Hospice & Care Centre on November 1.

Candles with holders will be available for free and they are also putting together a hamper for a raffle. Tickets are sold at R10 each.

There will also be a collection on the day and funds raised through the raffle sales and collection will be donated to Hospice.

You can buy your raffle from any of the choir members during the evening; the draw will take place later.

According to Rienie Venter, involved in the choirs, their involvement with Hospice is a huge privilege considering the work the hospice does in the community and the enormous role it plays in people living with cancer and their families’ lives.

“The children’s unit still needs of some things and we want to use these funds raised to make a difference. People who need more information, who want to secure a raffle ticket or make donations are welcome to contact me at 083 232 0359,” Riene said.
