Alberton CPF curbs absenteeism due to lack of sanitary pads

Researchers found that up to seven million girls miss 25% of their school year monthly in SA due to factors associated with menstrual cycles.

The Alberton CPF is on a mission to ensure girls do not miss school due to a lack of sanitary pads.

It launched a campaign dubbed ‘Help underprivileged girls: end period poverty by donating feminine hygiene products’.

Albertonians can help fight this issue by donating or buying feminine hygiene products at the SUPERSPAR 2nd Avenue in Verwoedpark and leaving them at the designated PICUP Alberton drop-off point in the store, or you can use the drop-off point at the Kewpie Pre-School across from the Engen garage.

Alternatively, make a monetary donation to Alberton CPF, bank: FNB current account, branch number: 250655, account number: 623 8575 6162 with the reference GirlPower.

Contact the Alberton CPF for details on Info@albertoncpf.co.za or 076 105 0859.
