Ligstad Preschool and Aftercare celebrated 12 years since its establishment.
The Alberton North-based community centre operates a crèche, aftercare, care for the elderly, and counselling services for the Alberton community.
Alida Jooste, social worker and manager of childcare services at Ligstad, expressed how proud they are of the work they do at the centre and said they are pleased with the progress over the 12 years since Ligstad’s founding.

“Twelve years is an amazing time. We went through Covid, we went through a lot of changes. Today we are just celebrating because God gave us the grace to still be here,” said Jooste.
Ligstad’s crèche, pre-schoolers, and aftercare children were visibly excited to see a cake marked Ligstad 12, while gathering around the centre’s steel bench for a photo opportunity.
