WATCH: Alberton Primary celebrates a centenary of education

Small business owners benefited from the event as they were allowed to set stalls up on the school’s premises to sell their goods and services.

Alberton Primary learners gathered at the school with their teachers and parents to celebrate and mark the school’s centenary year.

The celebratory carnival was attended by scores of people.

The day saw everyone having lots of fun. Some of the activities on offer on the day were rides, games, live performances and dunk the teacher.

Small business owners also benefited from the event as they were allowed to set up stalls and sell their goods and services.


A toy and accessories stall was one of the attractions at the carnival.

The school’s acting principal, Denasha Jacob, expressed her happiness with the success of the carnival.

“We are amazed by the turnout. Our parents and the community came out in large numbers to support us. We are proud of this event, and thank the community, businesses, and the families of Alberton that have supported us,” said Jacob.
